Explore our standard-setting modular pontoons designed to withstand low alpine temperatures, high current speeds, and strict European environmental directives.
Austria boasts some of the cleanest and most regulated bodies of water in Europe, including pristine Alpine lakes like Wörthersee, Wolfgangsee, and Hallstätter See, alongside the highly commercialized Danube River waterway. Operating within this geography requires structural engineering that balances heavy-duty performance with uncompromising environmental safety.
Under the European Union Water Framework Directive (WFD) and Austrian local water safety guidelines, any construction or pontoon deployed in public waters must guarantee zero toxin leaching. Traditional treated wood or steel docks that rust or release chemicals are heavily restricted. Our High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) modular pontoons are food-grade, completely inert, and 100% recyclable, offering a sustainable alternative that fully aligns with Austrian national park regulations.
Moreover, the winter season in Austria brings heavy icing and sudden temperature drops in the Alps. Standard dock structures are easily crushed by the expanding ice sheets. Shenghuang's engineering department has developed a specialized modular dock system with curved concave-convex edges that allow the dock to slide upward ("pop-up") under freezing pressures, mitigating structural stress and avoiding costly seasonal dismantling.
Specialized blow-molded configurations distribute pressure evenly, preventing cracks or deformations in freezing water temperatures down to -60°C.
Made of virgin food-grade HDPE, ensuring zero chemical release into drinking water reservoirs or natural reserve conservation areas.

Founded in 2019, Shenghuang Industrial & Trade Blow Molding Factory is a leading innovator in the plastic blow molding industry. With our modern headquarters in Huangyan, Taizhou, Zhejiang—renowned globally as a high-technology manufacturing hub—the company has quickly evolved into a trusted international supplier of heavy-duty blow-molded products across the marine, industrial, packaging, and automotive sectors.
Our modern factory houses advanced high-speed automated blow molding production lines. This technical infrastructure enables Shenghuang to control wall-thickness ratios to a fraction of a millimeter. This precision is vital for the water buoyancy and puncture resistance required of high-end marine pontoons. Our manufacturing process complies completely with the ISO 9001 quality management system, covering every stage from virgin HDPE pellet testing to high-impact drop tests on completed pontoons.
Our environmental commitment forms the backbone of our strategic partnership with European distributors. Shenghuang continuously invests in R&D to improve the carbon footprint of our operations by incorporating energy-saving mold heating processes and zero-waste scrap recycling loops.
By blending advanced UV-resistant polymers with high-density virgin polyethylene, our specialized R&D team produces pontoons that survive intense alpine solar radiation (UV index peaks in Austrian ski areas) without discoloring or becoming brittle over time. We pride ourselves on custom engineering—modifying weight limits, locking accessory loops, and dimensional shapes to meet the demands of marine projects worldwide.

Floating Dock's modular design and superior material elasticity hold up quite well in storms and high currents, depending on the installation and anchoring. Our customers report excellent survival rates for modular systems hit by intense alpine storms and river swells due to the high flexibility of the inter-connecting pins, which distribute wave energy.
Yes, in areas where there is no local dealer presence, we ship your Floating Dock system directly to your local logistics terminal in Austria (such as Vienna, Linz, or Graz) for easy pickup or drop-shipped directly to your project site.
Absolutely. The modular dock system can be left in all year round, even in freezing waters. The custom structural shape of the cubes allows them to pop up above the ice as it freezes, preventing the dock from being crushed by lateral ice expansions.
Water flow and ice movement are key factors. If you experience moving ice sheets or heavy river currents, the key question to ask is: "Does the ice just thaw out and dissipate back into the water level, or are there large blocks of heavy flowing ice moving around?" If the ice thaws in place, you can safely leave the dock in all year. If there are heavy blocks of flowing ice, they can shear anchoring cables, so seasonal removal is recommended before the spring thaw.
The cubes can be configured for any layout, including floating walkways, gangways, or finger piers. For a stable walking platform, we recommend a minimum width of three cubes (approx. 1.5 meters). The dock is extremely stable and can easily support body weights thanks to the balanced buoyancy of each individual cube (approx. 90 kg or 200 lbs per cube).
Yes, you can use the modular dock anywhere you can navigate a boat. The cubes only draw about 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches) of water when empty. The critical depth is where craft launching occurs. The system is designed to rest safely on the lakebed or riverbed during low tides or periods of low water, provided there are no sharp rocks beneath.
Our factory started floating dock production in 2019, making us one of the leading modular pontoon manufacturers in Taizhou, Zhejiang. Today, Shenghuang is a major floating dock supplier globally, offering high-buoyancy HDPE products backed by ISO 9001 and CE certifications.
