Rather than presenting a rigid surface to crashing waves, the modular structure flexes, absorbing energy and relieving load pressure from the anchoring lines. Can I get a Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my local area?
Yes. In regions where a local distributor presence is not yet established, we ship our modular floating systems directly from our factory in China to your closest local freight terminal or marine port. Can I leave my modular plastic dock in the water during freezing winter conditions?
Absolutely. The dock system can be left in the water year-round, including in saltwater and areas subject to freezing. How does active ice flow or heavy winter water current affect the system?
The primary concern in winter is dynamic water flow and moving ice blocks. If you experience stable, stationary ice freezing, the dock can remain in place safely. However, if your location experiences heavy moving ice flows or strong spring currents that wash large chunks of ice down the waterway, we recommend removing the dock prior to the spring thaw. Dynamic ice flows can shear bolts, damage anchors, and sweep away marine structures.

For safe walking platforms, gangways, or fingers, we recommend a minimum width of three cubes (approx. 1.5 meters). A three-cube configuration ensures that even when a person walks near the edge, the platform remains level, offering a stable and secure walking surface.
Will the modular dock system work in extremely shallow water?
Yes, the modular cubes draw only 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 cm) of water when unloaded. The critical factor is that there must be sufficient depth at the transition point where boats or personal watercraft drive onto the platform. The system is designed to rest safely on the seabed or canal floor during low tide, provided the surface is free of sharp debris, and will rise automatically with the incoming tide.
