Can I get the Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my area? +
Yes. In areas without a local dealer, we can ship your modular Floating Dock system directly to your local freight terminal for convenient pickup or container delivery.
Can I leave my dock in during the winter time? +
Absolutely. The dock can be left in the water year-round, even in saltwater environments. The system is designed to handle winter freezing; the tapered shape of the cubes allows the dock to pop up on top of the ice sheet as pressure builds.
How does ice affect the system (moving vs. static ice)? +
Static ice pressure is easily handled because the modular units pop up above the freezing crust. However, moving ice floes in rivers can cause structural damage. If your location experiences heavy moving ice sheets during the spring thaw, we recommend removing the dock or mooring it in a protected bay.
How many cubes wide are required for a stable walking platform? +
We recommend a minimum width of three cubes (approx. 1.5 meters) for public or primary walking paths. This width ensures optimal weight distribution and stability, supporting multiple users easily thanks to the 200 lbs of buoyancy per cube.
Will the system work in shallow water? +
Yes. Pontoons draft only 2 to 4 inches of water when unloaded. The dock can safely rest on the soft seabed or sand during low tides, provided the mooring system allows for vertical movement and the seabed is free of sharp rocks.
