How does the Floating Dock system hold up to typhoon events? +
Our modular floating docks are designed to handle wave action and heavy storms. The system's pin-connection design allows the platform to flex with wave movements rather than resisting them, helping to distribute kinetic energy evenly. This flexible configuration, combined with strong anchoring points, helps the docks stay secure during high winds and heavy storm surges.
Can I purchase and receive a Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my local area? +
Yes. In regions without a local distributor, we coordinate direct factory-to-port or factory-to-door delivery. We pack and ship the modular cubes, connection pins, and installation tools directly in containers to your closest freight terminal for local pickup or direct delivery.
Can I leave my dock system in the water during freezing winter conditions? +
Yes. The floating dock is designed to withstand winter conditions and ice. The sloped sides of the cubes allow the platform to slide upward as ice expands, sitting on top of the sheet rather than being crushed by it. This makes it suitable for year-round installation in freezing climates.
How does moving ice and river flow affect the system during spring thaws? +
If winter ice simply melts in place, the dock can remain in the water. However, if your location experiences moving ice floes or strong currents during the spring thaw, those forces can damage stationary structures. In areas with active ice movements, we recommend temporarily removing and storing the modular dock system for the winter.
How many cubes wide must a floating platform be to ensure safe and stable walking? +
For safe use, we recommend a minimum width of three cubes (approx. 1.5 meters / 5 feet). Each individual cube has balanced buoyancy and supports about 90 kg (200 lbs) of vertical load, meaning a wider layout provides a more stable, level platform.
Will the modular system function correctly in shallow water environments? +
Yes, our floating docks work well in shallow water. Without a watercraft load, the cubes draw only 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches) of water. During low tide, the platform can rest safely on the seabed. To ensure easy launching, there should be enough water depth at the launch point to let your watercraft float free when backing off.
