Can I get a Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my local area?
Yes. In regions without an active local distributor, we coordinate shipment directly from our Chinese manufacturing facility to your nearest sea port or inland freight terminal. This ensures direct manufacturer pricing and avoids local markup fees.
Can I leave my floating platform in the water during freezing winter conditions?
Yes. The HDPE formula remains ductile down to -60°C and is engineered to stay in the water year-round. The tapered shape of the cubes helps the platform slide upward to rest on top of forming sheet ice, preventing crushing.
How does moving ice affect the modular system?
Moving sheet ice or heavy ice flows can shear stationary docks and cause damage. If you expect heavy current-driven ice movement during spring thaws, we recommend unpinning the modular sections and storing them onshore until the ice clears.
How many cubes wide must a floating platform be to ensure stable walking?
We recommend a minimum width of three cubes (~1.5 meters) for public or worker walkways. A three-cube configuration provides balanced buoyancy (~300 kg per linear meter) and prevents tilting when users walk along the outer edges.
Will the floating system work reliably in shallow water?
Yes. At rest, the draft of empty cubes is only 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches). They can rest directly on soft mud, sand, or gravel bottoms during low tide without structural damage. Be sure to check that water depth is sufficient at the gangway connection to allow the platform to flex naturally.
