How does the Floating Dock system hold up to typhoons?

Can I get a Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my area?
Yes. In areas where there is not a local dealer presence, we can ship your Floating Dock system directly to your local freight terminal or designated seaport for easy commercial pickup. Our logistics department coordinates all ocean freight container bookings and provides complete export documentation.
Can I leave my dock in during the winter time?
Absolutely. The dock can be left in place all year round, even in saltwater. The Floating Dock system is specifically designed to be left in the ice for the winter. The special sloped design and balanced buoyancy of the cubes allow the dock to pop up on top of the ice when expansion forces occur, preventing ice crushing damage.
How does moving ice affect the modular docking system?
The key issue with ice and its effect on the system is water flow. If there is a heavy current or moving ice blocks, you must consider whether the ice thaws and dissipates back into the water level, or if large blocks of moving ice will flow through. If the ice thaws in place, you can leave our dock in all year. If large blocks of heavy flow ice move through, the dock should be unpinned and stored during winter, as moving ice can damage any docking structure.
How many cubes wide is required for a stable walking platform?
The cubes can be configured as floating platforms, gangways, finger piers, or custom layouts. For a safe, stable walking platform, we recommend a width of at least three cubes. This width provides balanced buoyancy (supporting approximately 200 lbs per cube) and prevents tipping.
Will the system work in shallow water conditions?
Yes, you can use the dock anywhere you can drive your craft. The cubes only draw about 2 to 4 inches of water when the watercraft is launched. The minimum functional depth is measured at the back of the dock where you drive on, as the dock needs to flex to allow the craft to mount. The system is fine resting on mud/sand bottoms during low tide, provided there is enough depth at the stem for the boat to back off.
