Can I leave my dock in the water during winter?

Absolutely. The modular system is engineered to withstand freezing conditions and can remain in the water year-round. The tapered draft profile of each block allows the ice sheet to compress and slide under the dock, lifting the structure up rather than crushing it. However, if your location experiences heavy moving ice flows or severe currents during spring thaws, we recommend seasonal removal to prevent structural impact damage.

How does moving ice affect the floating modular platform?

Static ice expansion is safely tolerated, but heavy flowing ice blocks can damage the structure. If spring thaw causes large, fast-moving ice sheets to flow down your waterway, they can damage any stationary structure.
