How does the Floating Dock system hold up to typhoons and heavy wave actions?

Thanks to their modular design and flexible interlocking pins, our floating docks absorb wave energy and move with water swells. Rather than resisting forces rigidly like traditional concrete docks, modular HDPE pontoons flex and dissipate kinetic energy. Our customers report excellent structural survival rates in high-wind zones, provided the mooring anchors and pile guides are engineered for local conditions.

Can I leave my modular dock in the water during freezing winters?

Absolutely. The dock system can remain in place year-round, including in freezing climates and saltwater environments. The special draft angle of each interlocking cube allows the rising ice sheet to slide beneath it, popping the dock up safely on top of the ice. However, if your location experiences heavy moving ice flows or severe winter currents, you should remove the dock to prevent mechanical damage from shifting ice blocks.

How many cubes wide must a floating platform be for stable walking?

To ensure a stable, safe walking platform, we recommend a width of at least three cubes (approximately 1.5 meters). This width provides excellent lateral stability and easily supports multiple users' body weight, thanks to each cube's balanced buoyancy rating (approx 200 lbs/cube for standard models, and up to 350 kg/m² for heavy duty structures).

Will the system work in shallow water conditions?

Yes. The modular cubes sit high in the water, drawing only 2 to 4 inches of draft when unladen. They can rest directly on soft bottoms during low tide without structural damage. To ensure dynamic boats and jet skis can launch safely, make sure the water depth at the launch end of the dock is deep enough for the watercraft to back off cleanly.

Can I procure direct from Taizhou if there is no local dealer presence?

Yes. For regions without local distributors, we organize container shipments directly from our factory in China to your closest regional sea port or freight terminal. Our logistics team handles export customs clearance to ensure simple, hassle-free international delivery.
