Why Partners Choose Shenghuang Group

Our operation is built on four core pillars: technological innovation, material durability, environmental responsibility, and responsive service. These priorities guide our development of reliable modular floating solutions.

High-Performance R & D

Our dedicated laboratory focuses on polymers, structural testing, and custom molding techniques. We formulate UV-stabilized, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) blends designed for extreme marine and commercial environments.

Precision Technology

Using advanced automated blow-molding equipment, we control polymer distribution within the mold cavity. This process eliminates structural weak points, providing high impact resistance and consistent wall thickness.

Environmental Stewardship

We use 100% recyclable, non-toxic materials that will not leach chemicals into aquatic ecosystems. Our energy-saving blow molding processes help minimize our manufacturing carbon footprint.

Macro Industry Solutions & HDPE Polymer Engineering

Modern coastal, marine, and inland water engineering demands infrastructure that is adaptable, cost-effective, and long-lasting. Traditional concrete, treated timber, and steel structures are prone to deterioration in salt water, under UV exposure, and from bio-fouling. Our modular HDPE dock systems provide a modern, durable alternative to these traditional materials.

The Polymer Chemistry of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)

Our modular pontoon cubes are manufactured using High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) containing carbon black and specialized UV inhibitors (typically Class 8 stabilizers). This specific formulation protects against photo-oxidation caused by solar radiation, preventing chalking, embrittlement, and loss of mechanical strength. HDPE's molecular structure features minimal branching, which provides high tensile strength, impact resistance, and chemical stability. As a result, our docks remain resistant to acids, alkalis, fuels, and organic growth like algae and barnacles.

Load Distribution & Hydrodynamic Design

Each individual modular cube (measuring 500x500mm) is engineered to distribute local point loads across adjacent units via a four-way interlocking connection system. This design prevents localized buckling under foot traffic or small vessel docking. The standard single-layer modular configuration delivers a buoyancy capacity of 200 kgs/m², while multi-layer configurations can be stacked to support heavier commercial and industrial applications.

Localized Application Scenarios

Our ODM modular floating docks are designed for versatility and can be customized to suit different regional climates, water depths, and environmental regulations around the world.

Future Technology Roadmap & Compliance

As regulatory agencies globally enforce stricter environmental rules, Shenghuang is adapting its materials and manufacturing processes to align with international safety and sustainability standards.

Regulatory Compliance & Standards

Our production facilities adhere to international maritime and construction safety standards. Each modular dock system is manufactured to comply with:

  • ISO 9001:2015: International Quality Management System.
  • ASTM D-638 / ASTM D-790: Testing for tensile strength, elongation limits, and flexural modulus.
  • CE Certification: Ensuring structural conformity and safety across European waterways.

Smart Marinas & the 2026-2030 Roadmap

We are currently developing smart integration options for our modular pontoon systems. Our R&D efforts are focused on:

  • Embedded IoT Sensors: Integrating structural integrity, load strain, and temperature sensors directly into selected pontoon chambers.
  • Advanced Recycled HDPE: Formulating post-consumer recycled ocean plastics into structural-grade modular elements to reduce virgin polymer reliance.
  • Solar-Powered Docking Accessories: Modular solar caps for connection pins to power low-voltage deck lights and marine instrumentation.

Leading Global Supplier & Partner Network

Our brand presence extends across global industrial corridors. We serve maritime builders, fitness centers, and engineering distributors through a localized global support model.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Review comprehensive technical responses on engineering, installation, logistics, and maintenance for our modular systems.

How does the Floating Dock system hold up to typhoons?
Floating Dock's modular design and superior material quality hold up quite well in a typhoon depending on the installation. The individual modular cubes are held together by specialized interlocking pins that allow the dock to flex in heavy swells without shearing. Our customers report excellent survival rates for installations hit by major storms, provided proper anchoring systems—such as pile guides, elastic moorings, or heavy-duty steel chains—were used.
Can I get Floating Dock systems if there is no dealer in my area?
Yes, you can purchase directly from our manufacturing facility. In areas where there is no local dealer representation, we can ship your modular dock systems directly from Taizhou, China, to your closest commercial port or freight terminal for local pickup. We provide custom container packaging optimization to ensure shipping rates remain as cost-effective as possible.
Can I leave my dock in the water during winter?
Yes, our modular docks can remain in the water year-round, including in freezing climates and saltwater environments. The HDPE plastic is formulated to withstand sub-zero temperatures without cracking or splitting. Additionally, the sloped profile of the individual cubes allows the dock to pop up on top of expanding surface ice, rather than being crushed by lateral pressure.
How does moving ice affect the system?
The key consideration is the presence of flowing, moving ice rather than static freezing. If the winter ice simply freezes and thaws in place without significant current or wind-driven movement, the dock can safely stay in the water. However, if your location experiences moving ice floes during the spring thaw, the sheer force of moving ice can damage anchoring systems and pull structures away. In areas with active, moving ice floes, we recommend removing the modular dock and storing it on land for the winter.
How many cubes wide is required for a stable walking platform?
For a safe, stable pedestrian walkway or gangway, we recommend a minimum width of three modular cubes (approx. 1.5 meters or 5 feet). While a two-cube-wide layout can float, a three-cube-wide configuration significantly reduces lateral roll and ensures stable walking under normal conditions. Each modular cube provides balanced buoyancy, supporting approximately 200 kgs/m² when single-layered.
Will the modular floating dock system work in shallow water?
Yes, our modular docks can be installed in shallow areas. Unloaded, the cubes draw only about 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches) of water. If the water level drops completely, the dock can rest directly on the mud or sandy bottom without structural damage. For drive-on applications, ensure there is sufficient depth at the entrance of the dock so the watercraft can be backed off smoothly.
How long have you been in the floating dock business?
Shenghuang established its production lines in Huangyan, Taizhou, in 2019. Since then, we have grown to become a prominent exporter of blow-molded industrial plastic products. By continuously upgrading our automation and material quality, we have established ourselves as a reliable partner for customers requiring modular pontoon systems and watercraft infrastructure.
