Can I get a Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my area?
Yes. In regions without an active local dealer, we coordinate direct factory-to-port or factory-to-terminal shipments. Our logistics team organizes ocean freight and customs paperwork, delivering the complete modular dock system directly to your closest freight terminal for local pick-up.
Can I leave my dock in during the winter?
Yes, the modular floating system can remain in the water year-round, including in saltwater and freezing conditions. The angled, hollow design of the cubes allows the expanding ice sheet to push the dock up onto the surface rather than crushing it, preventing damage to the system.
How does moving ice affect the modular system?
The main risk with ice is flow current. If water levels remain relatively calm during the thaw, the dock can safely stay in place. However, if your location experiences heavy spring currents with large, moving ice flows, we recommend removing the dock for the season, as moving ice sheets can shear anchoring posts and damage static installations.
How many cubes wide are required for a stable walking platform?
For safe, stable walking paths, gangways, or fingers, we recommend a minimum width of three cubes. This configuration provides a stable footprint and distributes body weight evenly, utilizing the system's modular buoyancy of approximately 200 lbs per cube.
Will the system work in shallow water conditions?
Yes. The empty cubes draw only 2 to 4 inches of water. The critical factor for shallow installations is at the entry ramp, which needs enough depth to allow the PWC to glide onto the ramp. The modular system can settle safely onto soft muddy bottoms during low tide without structural damage.
