How does the Floating Dock system hold up to typhoon?
Our floating dock's modular design and superior material elasticity hold up exceptionally well under typhoon conditions, depending on the installation method. The flexible connection system allows the entire structure to wave with the swell instead of fighting it, preventing structural fractures. Can I get a Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my area?
Yes. In regions without a localized dealership, we facilitate direct factory export. We package and ship your custom floating dock system securely in 40HQ ocean containers and deliver it directly to your nearest commercial ocean port or freight hub for easy terminal pickup.
Can I leave my dock in the water during the winter?
Absolutely. The dock system can be left in the water (freshwater or saltwater) throughout the year. The modular cubes are designed to tolerate freezing ice. The dynamic design features sloped bottom chambers that allow the ice expansion forces to push the modular structure up to slide over the surface of the sheet ice, preventing crushing.
How does moving ice affect the floating system?
The critical issue in winter is water current and moving ice blocks. If you have static frozen ice, you can keep the dock in the water. However, if your location experiences heavy spring currents with large, moving ice sheets, the physical impact of these blocks will wash away and damage any static structure. In these conditions, we recommend disconnecting and retrieving your modular dock during winter.
How many cubes wide are required for a stable walking platform?
For commercial walkways, public piers, and floating gangways, we recommend a minimum width of three cubes (1.5 meters). Individual cubes have balanced buoyancy supporting approximately 200 lbs (90 kg) per unit. A three-cube-wide walkway distributes weight evenly, ensuring excellent structural stability when multiple people walk on it.
Will the system work in shallow water conditions?
Yes. The modular cubes feature a shallow draft, drawing only 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 cm) of water when unloaded. The critical metric is the depth at the point of watercraft boarding. The system behaves well even resting directly on sandy or muddy bottoms during low tide, provided the substrate is free of sharp rocks.
