Industrial analysis of current waterfront developments, modular pontoon infrastructure, and key drivers of plastic marine system growth.
The global commercial marine sector is transitioning away from traditional wooden, concrete, and heavy steel structures toward modular high-performance plastics. This shift is driven by structural longevity requirements, changing environmental regulations, and project budget optimizations. Traditional concrete docks offer mass and wave attenuation but require heavy machinery for installation, crack over time due to salt crystallization, and pose significant maintenance liabilities. Wood structures, although initially cost-effective, require toxic chemical treatments (like CCA) that leach into marine ecosystems. They are also prone to marine wood-borers and rot.
High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) modular systems have emerged as the industry standard. Their chemically inert, UV-stable composition does not corrode or decay in saline or acidic freshwaters. Modern commercial installations, such as utility walkways, municipal floating bridges, eco-tourism resorts, and industrial pump platforms, rely on HDPE modular cubes.
Additionally, personal watercraft (PWC) usage has grown worldwide, leading to high demand for reliable, simple docking platforms. Traditional single docks cannot support larger, heavier multi-rider PWCs. The Double PWC Floating Dock system solves this challenge. It provides a stable, balanced platform that accommodates two personal watercraft on a single modular footprint, saving space and cost for commercial marinas and yacht clubs.
Modular cubes offer a load capacity of approximately 350 kg/m², providing balanced weight distribution. This ensures high stability even under uneven wind or wave forces.
Constructed from premium HDPE, our systems resist acids, alkalis, salt corrosion, organic pollutants, and dynamic impacts, ensuring a long service life.
Our materials are 100% recyclable, helping commercial marine operations reduce their carbon footprint and align with green procurement standards.

Our factory uses high-grade, virgin High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) with UV-stabilizing additives. This formulation prevents thermal oxidation and photo-degradation from direct solar radiation. The raw materials undergo high-temperature plasticization, followed by extrusion through dynamic blow molding dies. This process ensures consistent wall thickness across all key stress zones, preventing structural thin spots.
Our specialized tooling produces a textured anti-slip surface that improves safety under wet conditions. High-precision interlocking lugs are integrated around the edges of each modular float. This design allows quick, secure connections using composite pins.
Shenghuang's dedicated R&D team continuously develops high-performance materials and advanced molding techniques. We optimize product performance to meet changing customer demands, focusing on load capacity, impact resistance, and durability.
Environmental sustainability is a core priority at Shenghuang. We promote green manufacturing practices by using recyclable, eco-friendly materials across our production processes. Our research and development efforts focus on improving energy efficiency, reducing manufacturing waste, and minimizing our environmental footprint.
All of our products comply with global environmental regulations, such as RoHS and REACH. Our manufacturing facility utilizes water-recycling cooling loops and waste heat recovery systems to reduce energy consumption.
Additionally, all production scraps are pelletized and reprocessed for non-structural industrial applications. This practice ensures zero plastic waste leaves our facility, supporting a circular economy.

The modular design and high physical flexibility of our floating docks allow them to absorb wave energy by flexing across the joint connectors, rather than resisting the force rigidly. This structural flexibility prevents cataclysmic breakage during storm surges.
Success depends heavily on using correct anchoring configurations—such as steel pylons with heavy-duty slide brackets, or elastic mooring lines (e.g., Seaflex) with adequate bottom anchors. Our customers report excellent performance in locations affected by typhoons when the system is anchored correctly.
Yes. In areas where there is no local dealer presence, we coordinate direct shipping to your nearest local freight terminal for pickup.
We provide full export clearance documentation, container stowage plans, and step-by-step assembly guides. This ensures that commercial buyers or local contractors can receive, unload, and assemble the modular system efficiently.
Yes. The modular dock system can remain in the water year-round, including in saltwater environments.
The system is designed to handle winter freezing. The angled geometry and smooth sides of the cubes allow the dock to slide upward on top of the ice sheet as it expands, preventing the system from being crushed by lateral ice pressure.
The main concern with ice is water flow and ice movement. If the water freezes statically, the dock will float on top of the ice sheet without damage.
However, if your location experiences moving ice floes or strong currents during the spring thaw, these forces can shear away stationary structures. In such areas, we recommend removing the dock before the winter freeze or anchoring it in a protected cove.
For general pedestrian walkways, fingers, or access platforms, we recommend a minimum width of three cubes (approximately 1.5 meters).
A three-cube width provides a stable walking surface, prevents tipping, and supports typical pedestrian traffic. Each modular cube has balanced buoyancy and supports up to 200 lbs (approx. 90 kg), ensuring excellent stability.
Yes. The modular cubes draw only 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10 cm) of water when unloaded.
The system can rest flat on the seabed or riverbed during low tide without damage. However, ensure there is sufficient water depth at the entry end of the dock to allow watercraft to back off safely.
Our factory began floating dock production in 2019, making us an established manufacturer of modular blow-molded docks in China.
Through investments in automation and material R&D, we have expanded our capacity to become a major supplier, exporting high-performance marine systems globally.
A Double PWC system must support the weight of two watercraft (often exceeding 800 kg combined) while keeping both hulls dry.
Our design features reinforced thick-walled cubes and center connection pins to prevent sagging or twisting. The integrated V-shaped entrance guides PWC bows smoothly onto the dock, while the roller options minimize friction during launching and docking.
