How does the Floating Dock system hold up to a typhoon? +
Our modular design and premium material hold up extremely well in typhoons depending on the specific installation. Because the individual cubes flex rather than resist waves rigidly, they distribute hydrodynamic stress. Our global customers report excellent performance even in regions heavily hit by severe typhoons.
Can I get the Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my area? +
Yes. In regions without local dealer representation, we can ship your modular floating dock system directly to your nearest freight terminal or port of entry for secure container pickup.
Can I leave my dock in during the winter time? +
Absolutely. The dock system can remain in place year-round, even in salt water. The modular system is designed to handle freezing water; the angled sides of the cubes allow the structure to pop up on top of the ice sheet rather than get crushed.
How does ice affect the system? +
The critical factor is water flow and ice movement. If water freezes statically, the dock rises safely. However, if there are massive, moving sheets of heavy ice flow, they can damage stationary structures. In areas with high-current ice floes, we recommend removing the dock sections for winter safety.
How many cubes wide are required for a stable walking platform? +
Our cubes can configure into gangways, finger piers, or floating platforms. For a safe, stable walking surface, we recommend a minimum width of three cubes. The dock is stable and supports substantial weight, providing roughly 200 lbs of balanced buoyancy per cube.
Will the system work in shallow water? +
Yes. The cubes draw only 2 to 4 inches of water when unloaded. The critical measurement is at the stern of the dock where you drive the watercraft on; the dock must have enough water depth to flex slightly during loading. The system can rest safely on mud or sand during low tides.
