In typhoon events, this flexibility dissipates wave energy rather than resisting it rigidly. Performance depends on proper anchoring design, such as heavy-duty mooring brackets, elastic pile guides, or dual deadweight chain layouts.
Can I procure a Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my local area?
Yes. In regions without active local distributors, we ship systems directly from our factory to your nearest international container port or freight terminal. We assist with documentation and provide detailed assembly instructions for your installation team.
Can I leave the modular floating system in the water during freezing winter seasons?
Absolutely. Our system is engineered to remain in ice during winter conditions, in both fresh and saltwater. The sloped design of the cubes allows the rising ice sheet to slide underneath, pushing the floating platform upward rather than crushing it.
How does ice movement and spring runoff affect the system?
The key consideration is water flow and moving ice. If ice melts in place or simply shifts with water levels, the system can remain in the water. However, if your location experiences heavy spring runoffs with large, moving ice sheets, the physical forces can shear anchoring systems and damage the dock. In those environments, we recommend removing the system before the spring thaw.
How many cubes wide is required for a stable walking platform?
We recommend a minimum width of three cubes (approximately 1.5 meters) for public walkways or work platforms. This width provides excellent lateral stability, supporting standard foot traffic and equipment loads thanks to the buoyancy of each module (which supports about 90 kg or 200 lbs per cube).
Will the system function properly in shallow water environments?
Yes. When unladen, the cubes draw only 5 to 10 centimeters (2 to 4 inches) of draft. The system can rest directly on soft mud or sandy bottom surfaces during low tides. It is important to ensure the water is deep enough at the outer edge to allow vessels to back off safely when launching.
