If you have moving ice sheets or heavy winter currents, you should remove the dock before the thaw. Moving ice blocks can act like dynamic rams and tear away anchoring structures. However, in static ice that simply melts in place, the dock can safely stay in the water year-round.

For safety and stability under normal conditions, walking platforms should be at least three cubes wide. This setup supports multiple adult weights and resists tipping, thanks to each cube's balanced buoyancy (approximately 200 lbs / 90 kg per single cube).

Will the system work in shallow water?

Yes. The dock only draws 2 to 4 inches of draft when unloaded. During low tides, the system can rest flat on the muddy or sandy bottom. Just ensure there is enough water at the back of the ramp to launch your watercraft safely.
