How does the Floating Dock system hold up to typhoons?
Our Floating Dock's modular design and superior material quality hold up quite well in a typhoon, depending on the anchor installation. The modular joints allow the dock structure to flex dynamically over large waves, distributing hydro-mechanical tension evenly. Can I get the Floating Dock system if there is no dealer in my area?
Yes. In regions where a local dealer presence has not yet been established, we can ship your modular Floating Dock system directly to your local freight terminal for convenient pickup or coordinate doorstep delivery depending on domestic routing options.
Can I leave my dock in during the winter time?
Absolutely. The modular dock system can be left in the water year-round, including in marine saltwater environments. The system is designed to handle winter ice. The angled profile of each individual cube allows the dock to rise and pop up on top of the ice when expansion pressure builds up.
How does ice affect the system?
The primary factor with winter ice is water flow. If there is moving ice or a heavy current during thawing, large moving ice sheets can damage or pull away stationary docks of any style. If the water simply freezes without heavy current movement, our docks can safely remain in the ice all winter. If heavy moving ice flows occur, we recommend towing the modular system to shore for storage.
How many cubes wide is required for a stable walking platform?
Our floating cubes can be configured into platforms, gangways, fingers, or customized shapes. For safety and stability under typical walking loads, a stable walking platform must be at least three cubes wide. This layout provides balanced buoyancy to easily support adult body weights (each cube offers a buoyancy limit of approximately 200 lbs / 90 kg).
Will the system work in shallow water?
Yes. The modular system works anywhere you can operate your watercraft. Unloaded cubes draw only 2 to 4 inches of water. The key functional depth is at the rear of the dock where the drive-on occurs; the system needs enough depth underneath to flex down as the craft mounts the ramp. The modular system can safely rest on sandy or muddy bottom surfaces during low tides.
