However, if your location experiences heavy currents with large, moving blocks of heavy flow ice during spring melt, those forces can damage stationary structures. The cubes can be configured as floating platforms, gangways, or custom finger piers. For a stable walking platform, we recommend a minimum width of three cubes. The dock is stable to walk on and supports standard body weights due to the balanced buoyancy of each cube (approximately 200 lbs or 90 kg per cube load capacity).
Yes. You can use the dock anywhere you can navigate your craft. The cubes draw only 2 to 4 inches of water when unloaded. The minimum functional water depth is measured at the back of the dock where drive-on maneuvers take place. The system handles resting on flat bottoms during low tides without issues. Ensure there is enough depth at the stern to allow the boat to back off.
